A member of the Barth Haas Group (the global leading hops supplier) and part of Botanix, Simply Hops supplies to craft brewers of all sizes. Many smaller beer manufacturers struggle to source modest quantities of hops and hop products and this was where Simply Hops filled the niche. Their previous website was unappealing with no room for growth; with new product lines ready for release, it was important that this was addressed.
Work began with in-depth research to Simply Hops’ customer base and a break away from the traditional way of creating eCommerce environments. The design structure needed to follow their existing site, with products immediately available for purchase on the homepage – customers were used to the speed of ordering and checkout, so these expectations had to be maintained.
Because of the diverse nature of the Simply Hops audience, an intensely complicated 8 language multi-store was required. The data integration and translations made the testing aspects of greater importance and we were up for the challenge.
A fully responsive site with a fresh and natural feel was the end result for Simply Hops. This was translated to a separate mobile site, encompassing all of the bespoke features available on the full-size version. It has extended Simply Hops’ reach globally and continues to develop. We are soon planning on adding a new menu structure to accommodate the addition of even more product lines that will set them apart from their competitors.
