As DevOps Engineer, your expertise will directly shape development projects. We’re an agile, boutique agency so you’ll have the freedom to achieve what you want in the way you want. Working on projects for leading brands, you’ll work with our developers to test and implement infrastructure code. We have a strong focus on Google but you’ll need to be equally comfortable working on AWS. On both platforms, you’ll move fast and use your knowledge of up-to-the-minute tech to achieve results.

About you

You’ll have extensive experience in DevOps roles and be excited to tackle a new challenge that gives you more autonomy and influence. You’ll approach challenges with energy, and methodically work towards effective solutions using your collaborative and continuous learning mindset. You’ll be a confident critical thinker and decision maker.

Specifically, we’re looking for someone who has experience in:

  • Setting up a global load balancer with mTLS support in front of Cloud Run, OpenAPI in front of other Cloud Run services.
  • Setting up Firestore
  • Adding IAM to be used in CloudRun

Your responsibilities

You will assist across 3 parts of our business:

  • Architecting integrations for leading fintechs
  • Delivering a turnkey ecommerce solution for top-flight sports clubs
  • Microservices headless ecommerce project work

Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Develop, deploy, and support Cloud infrastructure as code artefacts or modules
  • Design and support resiliency and scalability using AWS and other cloud platforms
  • Support and deliver using continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines
  • Enable systems with automated monitoring and alerting
  • Support the team and customers with day-to-day requests, and change/incident tickets
  • Support technology stack refresh on systems (end-to-end) when required
  • Ensure automated security is built into each technology stack
  • Understand and respond to emerging requirements and ambiguous technology decisions
  • Install and maintain (upgrade/patch underlying infrastructure)
  • Understand DataBricks and DataFactory

Qualifications

  • A degree in computer science or a related subject (or equivalent education/experience)
  • Three years’ relevant experience
  • Two years’ experience of agile development and planning methodologies
  • Two years' experience in performance monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting in an enterprise
  • Holistic understanding of the internet and hosting from the network layer up through the application layer

Nice to haves:

  • GCP / AWS / Azure certifications
  • Ability to mentor others
