Pure decadence, exquisite design and fine materials define Addalit’s purpose. Their jewellery is select and as such required only the best online platform on which to present. Founded by those who worked in the high-end fashion business and graduated in Gemology, Addalit also have ethical concerns and source materials from trusted suppliers.
Having been presented with a selection of beautiful images from Addalit, we began to transform the idea of these into a sleek and simple design. The homepage itself was designed as a slideshow, with smooth transitions and striking imagery. Product pages aimed to emphasise the clarity of the diamonds they displayed. The overall feel is that of an art gallery, making use of open space to focus the customer on the products, with an enhanced zoom tool.
Details and menus were hidden so as not to detract from the design and products – these could be opened smoothly when required. To complete the site, a structured cart and checkout were implemented to allow ease of purchase for site visitors. The idea was for technical functions to be as unobtrusive as possible.
The Addalit website was unveiled in Summer 2013 and received a multitude of compliments for its great design. Their already extensive following on social networks was increased and they have enjoyed renewed publicity. Addalit’s design works seamlessly across all devices to appeal to their client base.
